EDE
A separate curriculum has been developed to bring our EDE students a blending of academics, personal growth, and self-understanding in a relaxed environment. A study hall time gives our elementary students the opportunity to work with their extended day teachers and their academic teacher to assist in understanding their required homework.
Our program offers parents the ability to extend their child’s day before and after school. Children are warmly welcomed into EDE AM care and participate in morning activities before their day starts in their classroom. After school, we offer a study hall, circle and storytime, engineering (building blocks), and additional time outside (weather permitting). Preschool Extended Day Enrichment starts after lunch-time with an age-appropriate rest time. After resting it is a time for engaging and entertaining activities.
After School Activities (ASA)
Jack Segal Academy has a wide variety of academic and special interest activities. After School Activities (ASAs) play a vital role in physical, cognitive, social and mental development of a child. Our activities are designed to help children develop their abilities and talents through a variety of activities, as well as broaden their interests, build their self-esteem, spark their imaginations, and reinforce what they have learned in school. We offer an extensive range of age-appropriate activities from which to choose. Classes are taught by talented and experienced Segal Academy teachers as well as by leading organizations in Houston.
Jack Segal Academy is more than just school. Our After School Activities Program is geared for students and parents who desire more activity outside school hours. From athletic endeavors to academic achievements, ASAs provides your child with numerous outlets to express their energy, creativity, and natural gifts to become innovators and creative thinkers. The program strives to provide safe and fun activities that accommodate various interests and schedules for your child.
